Introducing...
Flounder
Flounder is a purebred Labrador Retriever.
She was born on November 4th, 2023
She loves meeting new people (and animals)
and is gentle, polite, and very social
Flounder's favourite thing is to play fetch
She is a fantastic retriever and given the chance, will chase a ball for hours on end!
She plays soccer & can climb
She drops and stands
High 5's & 'tells secrets'
She even fetches gym towels for the wash!
Flounder is clever lady, and she loves learning new skills
This helps her to be a great therapy dog and a lot of fun
She has an older 'sister' called Florence, who she loves to play with
Florence is very special but never really learnt how to do normal dog things
Flounder is a great teacher and is endlessly patient
Opting In
Choosing to have Flounder join your Exercise Physiology sessions may be possible
It is important to know that her involvement is at the discretion of KT KINETIC
In some situations, it may not be appropriate to have her join; other days, she might be on holiday!
Unlike an assistance dog, Therapy Dogs do not sit a Public Access Test. This means that they do not have the same legal rights as other service dogs, such as being automatically allowed on public transport
Access for Flounder is on an 'invite' basis, and she is already welcome in many places
The more she works, the more access she is gaining!
Flounder has undergone training with W.A.A.T Dogs and is 'recommended' for participation as a therapy dog
Flounder should simply be considered a bonus
All clients wishing to work with Flounder will be required to 'opt in' via their service agreement
